Interlibrary Loan is a FREE service for UHSP faculty, staff, students, residents, and preceptors.

Interlibrary Loan allows users of one library to borrow books or receive copies of articles/documents that are owned by another library.

Is there a fee for Interlibrary Loan?

No! Interlibrary Loan is free for current UHSP faculty, staff, students, and preceptors. The Library does occasionally pay a small fee, but we don't pass that charge on to you.


How long will it take to get the items I requested?

Requests are generally processed the day they are received--please keep in mind requests are only processed Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. After processing, articles are usually filled within 2-7 business days. 


How will I know when my article is available?

When your article is ready, we will send a PDF copy to your UHSP email address. 


What if I need to cancel a request?

Email us at ILL.Library@uhsp.edu. with the name of the item you no longer need.
