Anatomy.tv is an online resource that provides over 6,500 detailed 3D models of human anatomy. Models focus on individual organs, regions of the body, or anatomical systems.

The 3D images can be peeled away in layers and anatomical models can be rotated 360 degrees to demonstrate the interaction of nerves, muscles, ligaments, and bones. Images and clips can be used in online courses.

3D Real Time includes 3D models of the head and neck; spine; shoulder and arm; forearm, wrist, and hand; thorax; abdomen; female pelvis; male pelvis; hip and thigh; knee; leg, ankle, and foot; whole body.

You can create customized images complete with labels and annotations (using medically-accurate 3D anatomy models). Models can be rotated in any direction, and you can choose which anatomical structures are added or removed in groups or individually. Structures can be viewed in X-ray, opaque, or in isolation.

The AR mode enables you to use your mobile device as a ‘window’ through which you can view and interact with the model as it is projected into the three-dimensional space of the real world.

Required devices/hardware for AR Mode

Apple devices

  • iPhone 6s or above
  • iPad 2017 or newer
  • iPad Pro
  • Operating system: iOS 11 or higher

Android devices

  • Android phones need to support the AR core app from Google, which needs to be installed before using the feature.
