Use the link below to fill out a new Voter Registration application.
You must be 18 years old by Election Day to vote (you can register when you’re 17-1/2).
You must be a US citizen.
You must be a resident of Missouri.
For voting purposes, college students residing in Missouri for college are considered residents of Missouri.
Use the links below to request an Absentee Ballot from your hometown County Clerk.
NOTE: If you will be home before the election, you can submit an Absentee Ballot in the office of the local election authority until 5:00 p.m. the night before the election.
You need to submit a copy of your identification (such as a college ID) with your absentee ballot request.
Polls are OPEN from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Election Day.*

A nonexpired Missouri driver or non-driver license
A nonexpired military ID, including a veteran’s ID card

Another photo ID issued by the United States or the state of Missouri (that is either not expired or expired after the date of the most recent general election)

You return to your polling place on Election Day with a photo ID OR
the signature on your provisional ballot envelope, which is determined by your local election authority to match the signature on your voter registration record. This is why signing clearly and carefully online when registering is so important.

Fill out the request online, print it, and sign it:
Scan and email the signed request to your local election authority.
Your local election authority is in the Missouri county where you’re registered (FYI: St. Louis City is separate from St. Louis County)
Voters requesting an absentee ballot by mail who have registered by mail and have NOT voted in person are required to submit a copy of their personal identification unless they provided a copy with their registration application.
Examples of acceptable identification are listed below. This means you will need to email both your Absentee Ballot request AND a copy of your ID to your local election authority.

You’ll receive it in the mail at your St. Louis area address.
Fill out the Ballot and put it in the envelope that came with it. DO NOT SIGN THE ENVELOPE!
Every Absentee Ballot envelope will require a Notary’s signature.

The Notary verifies your identity, and you sign the envelope right in front of them. If your signature is not notarized, your ballot will be thrown out.
