1. Download the Zotero application and install it on your computer.
2. Download the browser connector for your preferred browser.
If you have Word, make sure it is closed so the Zotero toolbar can be added to it.
3. Create a free Zotero account.
An account allows you to access your collections from anywhere, back up files, and join groups.
After creating your account, you will receive a confirmation email with information for the next step.
4. Sync your account with the Zotero app.
Instructions for syncing will be in the registration confirmation email.
You are ready to start!
Just remember to open the Zotero App before saving items to your collections.
