The Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) is developed and administered by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). If you are interested in going to medical, osteopathic, and other medical/health programs you will likely need to take the MCAT as a part of the application process.
The MCAT assesses the examinee's problem-solving, critical thinking and writing skills, and knowledge of science concepts and principles prerequisite to the study of medicine. Final scores are reported in the areas of Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Verbal Reasoning, and Writing.
