When to Download eBooks

Downloading EBSCO eBooks can be a lengthy process

Instead of downloading the entire book, we recommend:
  • Viewing the book online--most EBSCO eBooks have unlimited users

  • Saving sections or chapters


If you need to download an eBook, follow the steps in the box below.

1. Check to see if you have Adobe Digital Editions installed on your computer.
  • If not use the link below to download the program
2.   Click the Download button

3.   Sign in to your My EBSCO account
  • If you do not have a My EBSCO account, create one using the Sign In link on the toolbar at the top of the page.

4.  Follow the instructions in the pop-up box and click the Download button

5.  Click the Download button
  • The eBook is added to the Checkout folder, accessible from the upper-right corner of the EBSCO page.

6. You will receive a message that your checkout was successful  A pop-up box will appear to open or save the Adobe Digital Editions File.
  • Select Open or Save the file from the resulting dialog box.

  • If you open the file, your eBook will open with Adobe® Digital Editions.

  • If you save the file, the eBook is saved to your computer and can be opened with Adobe® Digital Editions at a later time.


7.  After the book has been downloaded it should appear in your Adobe Digital Editions account
