Looking for a Book?

Preceptors can check out books from our Library

If you find a book in the library catalog and are interested in checking it out, please email the Library with the book title. 

Only need a chapter?

If you'd like a copy of a chapter from a book in the library, you can place an Interlibrary Loan request. Please note on the request the chapter you need. 

If you need a book we don't own, contact the library or information center at your worksite or your public library.

Searching the UHSP Catalog

Using the catalog to find a book

  1. Start at the Library homepage

  2. From the main search box, select the Library catalog/Books tab, enter the book title in the search box, and click the Search box. 

  3. After clicking Search you will see a results list with items that match your search.

  4. Click on a title in the results list to view information about a specific item, including:

    • Location = where the item is shelved in the library

    • Call Number = identifying number

    • Status = availability of the item.
