What is Interlibrary Loan?

Interlibrary Loan is a service of the library, that provides copies of articles and book chapters not available in our collection.

How do I request an article through Interlibrary Loan?

Fill out an Interlibrary Loan Request form using the link below.

When will my article arrive?

Requests are generally processed the day they are received. Interlibrary loan requests are processed Monday-Friday from 9-5 each day. After processing, requests are usually filled within 2-5 business days.

How will I know when my article is available?

You will receive an email with your article attached as a PDF. 

What do I do if I need to cancel a request?

Email ILL.Library@uhsp.edu with the name of the article.

What if I need an article that is print at the Library?

If you see either of the two screens below, the article you are looking for is in print here at the Library. You can place a request for the article through Interlibrary Loan.  

How to place a request

1. Login to the Interlibrary Loan Request form with your UHSP username & password.
   • If your login does not work, please contact the Experiential Office at 314-446-8493.
2. Enter the following information:
   • your name
   • work email address 
   • contact information 
   • citation information
3. Submit the form. 

When your article is ready, we will email you a PDF of the article.
