What is Interlibrary Loan?

Interlibrary Loan is a library service that provides you copies of articles and book chapters that are not available in our collection.


How do I request an article through Interlibrary Loan?

Common Questions

When will my article arrive?

Requests are generally processed the day they are received. Interlibrary loan requests are processed Monday-Friday from 9-5 each day. After processing, requests are usually filled within 2-5 business days.


How will I know when my article is available?

You will receive an email with your article attached as a PDF. 


What do I do if I need to cancel a request?

Email ILL.Library@uhsp.edu with the name of the article.

Articles in Print @ the Library

What if I need an article that is ONLY in print at the Library?

If the article you are looking for is in print at the library, you can place a request for the article through Interlibrary Loan.  


How to place a request

  1. Login to the Interlibrary Loan Request form with your UHSP username & password.
    • If your login does not work, please contact the Experiential Office at 314-446-8493.
  2. Enter the following information:
    • your name
    •  your work email address
    • contact information 
    • citation information
  3. Submit the form. 

When your article is ready, we will email you a PDF of the article.
